August 8, 2008 Review of the Preacher The Preacher is the story of eight young men who become friends in the barracks and trenches of World War II. This novel is divided into three parts: The Boys, The War, The Men. The first and third sections are exceptionally well written. (There's nothing wrong with the middle section, but it's the beginning and end that really impressed me.)
